Re Re Design Pt. 1

I am going to redesign this site. I am also publiclly committing to writing more about what I am doing. The idea being that my memory kind of sucks and I want to document this process as I go along. December One

The big task today, is to start refactoring the scss on this site. There is a large amount of bloaty type styles and I am pretty sure I can make significant reductions, leverage CSS custom proerties and do a better job of using SASS. Step one: Refactor the blog pages! Step two: start using the modular scales instead of magic numbers… Step Three: use clamp() to handle fluid type instead of the external library, it has served me well, but now we have a native solution, so we don’t need to lean on it fluidTypography any longer…

Daily Log

The idea here is to briefly jot down activities, changes, inquiries, research topics etc, so as to better document and gauge progress on this site specifically and growth as a artist, designer and developer in general.

Re Learning Learning

On Code Camping and N days of code… I’ve been on quest to become a front end developer. My approach has been do as many tutorials as possible, some free and some paid for. Reflections on this site's evolution

Thinking about how this site will be structured is all fine and good, but what about the content? Beyond these ramblings, I think it would be good to present a better picture of what kind content will be on this site. I don’t mind the way the old site is, with portfolio centric content.
